In 2001, the author of a novel that explored the dangers of acting upon inane whims was wondering what the consequences would be of littering London with hundreds of plastic ducks. What if the ducks each bore a neck ring that pointed the finder to a website that suggested that the duck should be photographed, reported and then dully left elsewhere?

Delayed by an IRA bombing campaign, IFoundADuck.com launched at Easter and the worldwide travels of the 500 plastic ducks across 22 countries in 5 continents were reported by The Big Issue, Salon, TimeOut, The Daily Telegraph, The Australian, The Herald Sun and led to Radio interviews with BBC London Live, Herbeat FM, KFOR 1240 AM and Today FM.
